Things that seem to be true

In all the reading and searching some ideas seem to come out of every religion, philosphy and self help manual. This should be an ongoing list that I add to over time.

The Witch of Portobello

The Witch of Portobello

by Paulo Coelho (Author)

I came across this book a few months ago before I read A New Earth and had any spiritual searches in mind. But, at the time when I read it, I was thinking," wow, this idea of the world being ready now for a new spirituality is really exciting". I wished it were a true story and not a novel. So much of it comes back to me now as I am moving through A New Earth and other readings. And I think the actress in the story is Oprah so maybe it is a true story... it just hadn't happened yet.

A New Earth

This is where it all began for me. I started reading this book because when I happened upon it by chance through a random search on Oprah and saw that she was being criticised and being called "the anti christ". I went to her site to see what was going on. I found her soul series. I found the book. It took me weeks to get the book by mail as I live overseas. But I started following the soul series via the podcasts on itunes.

Every once in a while while watching the podcasts I was getting a sort of "tingle" from within. Not like butterflies inyour stomache when you get excited about something but deeper inside. I can't even pinpoint where I felt it. I can only explain it as the inner me glowing. A tingle of excitement. From that moment on that inner tingle has been moving outward and clearing away some old heavy dust in me.

I finally received the book.

Cyndi Lauper, True Colors

And I'll see your true colors
shining through
I see your true colors
and that's why I love you
so don't be afraid to let them show
your true colors
true colors are beautiful
like a rainbow

Jane Siberry, Calling all Angels

Calling all angels
Calling all angels
Walk me through this world
Don't leave me alone
Calling all angels
Calling all angels
We're trying' we're hoping'
But we're not sure how long....

And every day you gaze upon the sunset
With such love and intensity
Why it's...it's almost as if
If you could only crack the code
you'd finally understand what this all means
